The Department of Haemodynamics, being a integral part of the cardiology clinic, is a reference point in the planning and provision of comprehensive medical services of high quality.
The haemodynamics lab is staffed with specialised medical and nursing personnel around the clock, as required by the needs of a modern cardiology unit.
The lab is equipped with a modern digital angiography system (PHILIPS Allura Xper FD20). It covers the needs of complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in the fields of interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and radiology.
The lab’s auxiliary equipment supports the management of complications and emergencies.
Working closely together with the cardiology department of the clinic, this lab contributes to the diagnosis and management-treatment of the following conditions:
- Coronary artery disease (coronary angiography – Angioplasty)
- Valvular heart diseases
- Pericardial diseases
- Congenital heart defects (interatrial communication, PFO)
Acute myocardial infarction is treated with primary angioplasty 24 hours a day – 365 days a year. This is the state of the art in the modern management of coronary artery disease based on data from around the world.
